staying up to sew my jeans for submission tmr and also to catch this rare phenomenon - a blood red moon from 3.25am to 5am. a total lunar eclipse where the Moon is completely in the Earth's shadow.
Because the Earth is between the Sun and the Moon, only red light from the Sun is able to reach the Moon's surface.
The blood moon can be seen by the naked eye and does not require telescopes. For a few hours, other planets such as Saturn, Venus, Jupiter and Mars will also be visible.
This total lunar eclipse is especially rare for Singaporeans because the entire process of the Moon being covered and uncovered by the Earth's shadow will be visible here.
The last such eclipse was in 2004 and the next will be in 2018. To see the process, Singaporeans must have a clear view of the sky in the west.
gonna meet NAT later to catch the moon! and also my MUCH MISSED MACS AT THE UNEARTHLY HOUR...!
nothing is forever, remembered that at 2:15 AM.
